Life Mastery : LET GO OF ALL YOUR EXCUSES

0

Yes, I mean ALL of your excuses. I know it feels good whenever we explain why we have failed. Unfortunately, this does not take aware the failure or its effects. Many of us have majored in Excusiology. We have figured out that if we can blame someone for what isn’t working in our lives, or what went wrong some years ago, then we fail with some kind of false dignity. It might make you feel good temporarily, but the effects of the failure remains with you. You might be an alcoholic and you have a good reason to explain your condition: Your dad was an alcoholic too, or your friends hooked you into drinking.

You might have dropped out of school or college because you fell pregnant and ever since, you have kept blaming your boyfriend and you always explain your situation with reference to that “dog” who impregnated you and abandoned you! Listen, it’s time to move on. Rebuild your life and become all that you were design to be. There are thousands of ladies who went through worse situations but they recollected themselves and rebuilt their lives. You, too can do it.

There are a zillion excuses you can choose to take and allow them to hold your life back. You can say you were born in a very poor family, a broken family, you grew up as an orphan, you were born in Malawi, one of the poorest countries on planet earth or you can even blame the devil for sitting on you! Listen, for every reason you can use to explain your current situation, there are hundreds of successful people who gave up similar excuses and decided to focus on the future, progress and success.

You have to give up blaming as well. Wayne Dyer said, “All blame is a waste of time. No matter how much fault you find with another, and regardless of how much you blame him, it will not change you”. You will never become successful as long as you continue to blame your circumstances on someone else.

Oh! One more thing: Give up complaining too. Make a choice: if you can change it, just change it. However, if you can’t change it, live with it, or ignore it. Stop keeping company with complainers, they will simply worsen your situation. Stop complaining, stop spending time with complainers and get busy creating the life of your dreams.
