Police tighten up security in LL

The Police in Lilongwe have tightened up security following the robbery that took place at Atupele Muluzi’s residence.

Thugs equipped with panga knives broke into the house of Muluzi who is the Minister of Natural resources, Energy and Mining
and went away with mobile devices and cash amounting to K35 000.

People in Lilongwe are are living in fear and panic as many believe their property and lives are in danger.

Residents of Area 9 where Muluzi stays are threatened considering the caliber of the man who has been robbed.

They say they are very scared looking at the magnitude of the man who has been robbed and they feel their lives are in danger because Muluzi is a cabinet minister
better yet a leader of one of the leading political parties in the country but still robbers managed to steal from him.

According to Lilongwe Police spokesperson, Kingsley Dandaula, the law enforces are making sure that the residents in the area do not panic and live in fear.

“We have scaled up our patrols in and around the area to make sure that a similar incident does not occur.” He said.

Dandaula further disclosed that the police are seriously investigating the matter.
