Sunbird Malawi hails Sand Festival

The largest hotel chain operator in Malawi,Sunbird has hailed Sand festival to be hosted at Sunbird Livingstonia beaches in Salima from October 30 to November 1.

The festival set one’s sights on celebrating local and international talent and promoting of Malawi’s culture through traditional dances.

In an interview with Afriem,Sunbird Spokesperson Akossa Mphepo said the festival will bring foreign currency to the country.

“The festival expects to have a lot of tourists and as of now seventy Zambians have already booked a bus to attend the celebrations” Said Mphepo.

She further added that the festival will be a platform for local businesses to earn additional income and growth in their markets.

“We would like also to provide an opportunity for the locals to earn additional in income and grow their market base through the Trade expo,where we will,as is customary,provide stands to be hired by business persons”She added.

At the festival local guest are expected to mix with international tourists to share intercontinental feeling on the pristine white perfect altmosphere with the appropriateness of Malawi as a tourist destination.
