The warm heart turns cold

0

Visitors were never casual guests in our Malawi. They were welcomed, our hearts were well prepared for the purpose of loving them and instilling a foundation of values on which the name THE WARM HEART OF AFRICA was built. But all this ended when our late president the late Bingu chanced a british commissioner.

Last week Number of British based investors visited Malawi at invitation of Malawi government to view for themselves the potential of investing in Malawi.

British High Commissioner welcomed them and applauded the initiative to stimulate private sector interest in Malawi
However, one investor asked the ambassador if the risk of being deported once there was business get started and break even. The ambassador dodged the question.

The investor continues talking: “Am a bit pessimistic if our endeavour will bear fruits” she said.

“If the DPP government managed to deport a British Topdog who are we in the eyes of DPP government?” Male investor with asian accent asked.

One ignorant investor asked if Malawi was the country that declared the British Ambassador persona non grata.
Let us just come as tourist/ mere visitors to see the country; let us not risk our money” They concluded in unison.
