Mutharika too, shocked

President Arthur Peter Mutharika has said he is shocked with the sudden death of musician Grace Chinga,who died Wednesday night in Blantyre.

Writing on his official Facebook page, the Malawi leader says the country has lost a very talented songwriter and singer.

“Grace was an extraordinary woman full of love, life and immense talent who has blessed all of our lives with her gospel melodies which were full of wisdom.

“Her star will continue to shine and her voice will forever echo in our ears for spiritual inspiration. Grace will always be with us,” said Mutharika.

Chinga will be laid to rest on Saturday at Henry Henderson Institute (HHI) cemetery in the commercial capital Blantyre.
