A THIEF BROKE INTO THE HOUSE AND WENT AWAY WITH 11 MONTH ALBINO

Police in Kasungu are hunting for an unknown person who broke into the house of Mrs Madalitso Leman,25 years of Chiziya Village,T/A Kapelura in Kasungu district and made away with her 1 year,11 months old Albino daughter identified as Whitney Chilumpha.This occurred on 04-04-16 at around 0400 hours at Chiziya village-Katozi trading cetre in the same district.

Brief facts are that, the reporter is married to Mr. White Chilumpha who is a Taxi driver and they were blessed with an Albino daughter on 26/04/14. The father of the child left home for Mzuzu on Friday 01/04/16 leaving the wife and the child alone. On 03/03/16, she went to bed with her daughter at around 2000hrs.

While she was fast asleep, unknown person entered the house by opening a Grass Shutter (door) and stole the child. The mother woke-up at around 0400hrs and noticed that her daughter was not on the bed with her.

She reported the matter to her neighbours right away who together tried to follow the foot prints which were seen outside the house but could not locate the suspect.

The matter was then reported to Kasungu Police who rushed to the Scene and confirmed the incident.

No arrest have been made so far and police enquiries are still underway.

    ..for goodness sake please enact a task force to counter this. Suspects should start with the mother herself in all these cases. No crocodile tears to fool us.

    A person who steals another person is called a kidnapper. Considering the aforementioned the title should have been “a kidnapper breaks into a house and went away with an albino kid”
