ENOUGH IS ENOUGH: WE HAVE OBTAIN A COURT INJUNCTION BLOCKING GOVT FROM SELLING AGRO MACHINERY

0

By OB Chakhwantha

Yesterday I took a bold step to drag Malawi government to court for hoodwinking Malawians through parliament where they sought authority (authorisation bill 2008) to get a loan of US Dollars 30,000,000.00 for procurement of agricultural machinery meant for small holder farmers and rural communities in Malawi .

On 14th March, 2016 the same government makes a U-turn and now advertise for tender to well-to-do Malawians to buy the equipment meant for poor Malawians. Going backwards, tractors meant for very same small holder farmers were sold to top government officials, elites, politicians (some in our fold too) and party officials at MK5 million against its market price of MK 18 million.

All buyers have taken these Tractors on loan payment scheme offered by same government.

Zibwana zimenezi kaya mutipha or treason koma amalawi njala yonse ikuvuta every year zoona tikhalire kubweza ngongole za katundu oti ali mumanyumba mwanu???

Yes, court has granted me and J Lunguzi an injunction against the pending sale til tikumane ku court, God willing!
