APM tells newly elevated chief , Kabudula to ban Chakwera in his area

At the elevation ceremony of traditional leader Kabudula the President of the country told the senior chief to make sure the Malawi Congress Party stops conducting rallies in his area.

In his speech Mutharika warned the Senior chief not to become a dictator.

However, Mutharika shown his irresponsibility by politicising the event by saying that the opposition (MCP in particular) must not have a chance of conducting any rallies in the area.

MCP President, Prof Lazarus Chakwera attended the event although government did not recognise his presence.

At the event, Prof Laz’s Convoy was at the very end. Every one jubilated for Chakwera and they escorted him for about 2 kilometers. The multitude wished the MCP President could have spoken to them.

The MCP president promised people that he would conduct a rally in the days to come since he did not want to compromise the already politicised elevation ceremony.

The elevetion of Senior Chief Kabudula has took place today at Demera headquaters.
