As the count down continues, the main opposition party, Malawi Congress party (MCP) continues to attract high membership of people with high repute, a development that political analysts have said is good for the nation.
“This is the right time for sensible parties to rebuild and when you see people of high caliber joining a party in opposition just know that things are moving forward in that party.
“And when such a party is a big party that also has leadership of high repute like the MCP further know that it is the making of the next government,” observed a political scientist lecture at the Mzuzu University.
His sentiments comes on the heels of the breaking news that Blantyre based business guru Nick Yiannakis has joined the mighty Malawi Congress Party saying he is of the view that MCP is the only party that can bring back Malawi to Malawians with what the warm heart of Africa is renown of, including a sound economy in the country.
Yianniaks has said that as a business man he knows well the Malawian and international market and challenges that the country has the potential to make strides especially in trade, tourism and agriculture.
“It is how we manage things but I know that when the MCP gets in government great things will happen, development and success will follow and this is why I have joined the party not to watch but to play along and win Malawi for Malawians.
“And I would not want to send my knowledge and energy with a party that has gone beyond reorganization hence my joining the MCP which will bring hope and better life to all,” he said.
According to the business mogul, all Malawians in diaspora in search for greener pastures in other developed countries, should heard back to Malawi so that concerted efforts can make the country reclaim its lost glory.
“We can develop this country and put it back on the map,” he said.
