Human rights activists have described this year’s festive season as the worst and painful Malawians have ever experienced.
Expressing his sadness, Gift Trapence said that Malawians are not cerebrating but suffering this festive season.
“People have no money and as a result they cannot cerebrate with hunger.
“How can people be cerebrating without water and electricity, this festive season is painful,” he said.
He blamed the calamities Malawians are going through on government’s lack of solutions to make Malawi a better place once again.
“They just do not know how to govern a country because if they did things could have been better by now.
” For how long are we supposed to suffer just because those in power are not willing to solve the problems we are facing as a nation?” He asked..
Speaking one be half of government, informaton minister, Nicholas Dausi blamed nature for the challenges rocking Malawi.
“These problems we are facing are not man made they were caused by natural disasters, however we are trying to solve them,” he said.
