Children of late president, Bingu Wa Mutharika who feel neglected by their uncle, President Mutharika have put the Ndata estate on sale and have planned to use the proceeds to start a new life in the USA.
Reports reveal that President Mutharika is not in support of the move and he earlier sent Kondwani Nankhumwa to reason with the children.
A DPP top official said that Bingu’s children have been frustrated by their uncle who does not even have time to talk to them.
“Children of late Bingu want to sell out their late father’s Ndata estate because they are tired of leaving in Malawi,” said the top official, adding:
“They want to leave the country to stay in the USA. They are frustrated that their uncle Peter is not showing any support, a thing they did not e xpect from their real uncle.”
He added that Bingu’s children even consider Peter as a stranger in their lives.
“Peter seems such a stranger to them but, to everybody’s surprise, Peter sent Kondwani Nankhumwa to reason with the children not to sell the estate.
“The Children told Nankhumwa that they do not want to hear anything from their uncle.
“Why doesn’t uncle himself talk to us? And who are you to meddle in our family matters?” the children asked Nankhumwa.
