“Check the dates” Kelvin Sulungwe responds to Jaxstars claim he copied his organizations name

Young Malawian and Gifted CEO, entrepreneur and former Public Relations Officer for Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, Kelvin Sulungwe has responded to claims by Young Skilled and Gifted CEO Ayanja Jaxstar Jamali that he copied the organization name.

Jaxstar accused YMG of not being creative and innovative in coining of the organizations brand.

He said this following Sulungwes plan to revamp the YMG brand after several years being dormant and off the scene.

In a statement Jaxstar said the move “shows lack of creativity and childish tendencies”

Posting on social media right before Christmas Jaxstar whose YSG organization signed Lilongwe popular outfit K2 block said “in 2009 I established an initiative called “young skilled and gifted ” YSG that became operational in 2015″

Officially it was launched on 23rd September 2016 as “a youth empowering initiative that mainly focuses on art and culture, the initiative has 2 main branches which are: 1 a record label 2: a clothing line”

Reacting to these claims, Sulungwe first of all wanted to know who Ayanja is saying he does not know him. “Who is Ayanja?”

He then went on to provide proof in writting of his YMG organasation foot print in the music business stemming from as back as 2011.

Sulungwe in response to the claims said anyone who wants to question YMG existence and tyring to ridicule the movement should “Be checking the dates”

“And watch John Chilembwe Remix, U will see me in YMG” said the South African based promoter.

There is also sufficient evidence popular artists Saint, Nina started off performing at YMG shows.

Several other top ranking artists/producers including Excess and Stich Fray have collaborated Sulungwes story

Stich Fray: “YMG, was there wen Kelz was just a TV presenter at AFJ. YMG came to the video shoot of John Chilembwe remix, that was my first time meeting with Kelvin in person”
