RUDE AWAKENING FOR STATE HOUSE AS MCP OFFICIALS DOMINATE THE FUNERAL OF FORMER STATE

0

There was total drama, chaos and confusion in Lilongwe’s Area 1 Falls Estate where hundreds had gathered to bid farewell to one of State House officials who passed away in a road accident on January 1,2016 along the Lilongwe –Salima road.

The impression of everyone upon arrival at the funeral was that it was the funeral of the MCP parliamentarian late Hon H Jiya who died a day ago with the heavy presence of MCP parliamentarians such as Jessie Kabwira, Juliana Lunguzi, OB Chakwantha, Ezekiel Ching’oma and other senior MCP NEC officials.

It was later transpired that it was a funeral of Mrs Madalitso Mazombwe (nee Dzanjalimodzi), daughter to a prominent Dzanjalimodzi of MCP. Mrs Madalitso Mazombwe was until her death working as Secretary to State Residences Deputy Director General Lawford Palani and at times serving State Residencea Director General Peter Mukhito.

As that was not enough, Madalisto was married to Josephy Mazombwe, Brother to Racheal Mazombwe Zulu who is now in MCP and her Husband George Zulu is a diehard MCP top official.

This was a puzzle which nobody understood at the funeral considering that many believe that those who work at State Residences undergo a heavy vetting process and there was no way someone with a close links to MCP could work in such a powerful office where all the confidential correspondences of State House and Peter Mutharika go through.

Malawi Congress Party Youths were the ones calling the shots as adzukulu,a clear indication that the departed one was one of them and it was the duty of MCP to make sure that their member was accorded all the last respect she deserved.

Many people are wondering if President Mutharika is safe at all with this kind of a revelation which seems to be a wake up call to many that the DPP government system is so weak and the State House is so porous.

It is believed that those in MCP were using Madalitso Mazombwe(Dzanjalimodzi) as their plant at State House and fresh information is also emerging that the Director General’s Secretary known by the name Chifundo and another officer in Procurement only identified as Wilson are MCP operatives who are conniving
with some powerful people at State House who are also working with MCP to bring down the Mutharika government.

Is it any wonder now that highly confidential information about the State House and the President easily find their way in the public domain? It is only our hope and prayer that the new Director General of the National Inteligence Bureau will do a thourough background check in order to sanitise the environment around the presidency. Its not secret that regardless who is the occupant of the seat of president, they need a watertight security and discipline on their staff. This is a wake up call.
