0

In the morning hours of today Albino attackers managed to make a hole in one of the walls of the bedroom of the former president of the Association of People Living with Albinism, Gilbert Daile who resides in area 22, Lilongwe.

According to Daile the attackers used metals to make the big hole where they wanted to enter the bedroom through.

“At first i thought it were mice as i was just hearing noises but after the noise persisted i noticed that some people were behind the wall trying to break it.

“Without giving it a second thought i shouted for help and neighbours came in large numbers and the people ran away,” he said.

He added that the neighbours did not found anybody near by as the men had already escaped.

Recently, Police in Kasungu arrested five men for allegedly selling bones of albinos.

Kasungu police spokesperson Edna Mzigwitsa confirmed of the arrests.

She added that one police officer who pretended to be a buyer entered into an agreement to buy the bones.

She added that when the police arrested them the suspects changed tune by saying that the bones were from cattle and told us that they just wanted to dupe people.
