MCP TO FEATURE ONE CANDIDATE, MSUNGAMA

0

Malawi Congress Party has said it will feature one candidate in the Lilongwe South east Ulemu Msungama rerun as opposed to the confusion being spread by the confused DPP.

The news come on the heels of the rumours being perpetrated by the confused DPP. DPP is asking imposters to confuse MCP supporters as the chances for their candidate are too bleak.

“MCP has been pushing for a rerun, meaning it should be only between Msungama and Namasasu and as for MCP we will only feature one candidate in the area unlike the rumours that we have another candidate in the area,” said Ezekiiel Peter Chingoma MCP’s Publicity Secretary.

According to MCP, the learned justices of the Malawi Supreme Court when it ordered MEC to conduct a re-run it meant the two interested candidates were to face off each other.

However, DPP does not like what Msungama did. Hon Msungama has embarrassed the DPP by exposing them that they really stole the vote to claim state power .

According to MCP, Ulemu Msungama and the constituents are ready to punish Namasasu again against rigging. Ulemu Msungama, has always been close to his constituents despite being robbed of victory in Lilongwe City South East. In the 2014 Tripartite Elections, Hon Namasasu polled 10 956 votes against Msungama’s 10 854, a difference of 98.

When the case was brought before the courts in Lilongwe, both the High Court and the Supreme Court of Appeal agreed with Msungama’s application that there were irregularities in the conduct of those elections.

The verdict from the courts confirms the views that the elections were massively rigged. Hon Msungama has been meeting his people in the constituency updating them on the issues of the re-run following the outcome of the court case.

In his speech Msungama commended the MCP members especially the party president Dr Lazarus Chakwera and the entire party hierarchy for the support rendered during the entire court battle. Msungama said he was happy with the outcome of the court case and said this time no one will dare to steal votes as happened in 2014.

Welcoming Msungama, MCP Constituency chairman, Hardson Chibekete pledged to support Msungama during the forthcoming re-run.

MCP YOUTH AND SUPPORTERS DRUMS FOR MSUNGAMA

The youth of the Malawi Congress Party have continued rallying behind Ulemu Msungama.

“As youth we are geared to support our fellow and you already know that as MCP youth we are not violent in our way of rallying but peaceful. What you should know is that we are on this to win,” said Gerrard Mzaza Nkhata, adding:

“Its obvious that Malawians are ready to push out the guy who rigged the elections because they did not vote for the thief in the first place.”

“Indeed justice has been delayed already and we cannot wait for it to be delayed favour.

“Opinions and ideas (to confuse our supporters) of those who rigged in the first place will not matter this time. We will defeat them,” said Mzaza Nkhata.
