As Malawian prepare for the upcoming 2019 elections,  UDF looks set to vote Hon Lucius Banda as the party President as the party is looking for a steady leader leading  to Hon Atupele Austin Muluzi being shaken to the core.

His camp is now propagating of fielding Hon Atupele Muluzi as the UDF torchbearer contradicting APM and the DPP claims of one dream ticket.

Speaking to UDF’s supporter/member Akefe Sukali Mviza, says Ndanga’s remarks on ZBS radio are futile and lacks democratic substance. “How can he say Atupele Muluzi will stand as a UDF presidential candidate in 2019 when we do not know the torch bearer yet?

Led by Ken Ndanga, his camp is now propagating of fielding Hon Atupele Muluzi as the UDF torchbearer contradicting APM and the DPP claims of one dream ticket.

Speaking to RDF’s supporter/member Akefe Sukali Mviza, says Ndanga’s remarks on ZBS radio are futile and lacks democratic substance. “How can he say Atupele Muluzi will stand as a UDF presidential candidate in 2019 when we do not know the torch bearer yet? 13592692_844558115674108_3596228554580487899_n

“For some time Ken Ndanga has spoken in defense of the working relationship of Hon AAM with DPP saying it will lead to the forth coming elections only to back track now claiming that UDF’s presidential candidate in the 2019 elections will be Hon AAM,” said Akefe Mviza.

The UDF staunch supporters also questioned the sudden change of direction. “As the sea is no longer settled, How serious will UDF look as a party in placing Hon Atupele as presidential candidate? Has DPP closed the VP door to the UDF Leader? Has DPP also seen how unsettled and untrustworthy Hon AAM is,” asked Mviza.

As the support for Hon Atupele Muluzi is finally hitting the lowest level, and Hon Lucius Banda looks set to take up the mantle, there is panic in the Atupele camp and now they are trying to position themselves when they have no one behind them.
“Hon Atupele Muluzi has been a loose politician without any tangible political philosophy to guide the party in any direction. He brought his Agenda for Change only to be found on the laps of the PP leader in her cabinet. He ended up leaving some staunch supporters like Hon Ibrahim Matola in the PP when he abruptly left cabinet position,” reminded Gerrard Mzaza Nkhata.

It is on record that UDF/DPP have one cloth awaiting its launch as the President Peter Mutharika had already told the nation that the two parties will be on the same ticket

“Making matters worse is the rebounding into active politics of the HAWK, the Lower Shire giant Sidik Mia. Hon Mia is anticipating of joining the Malawi Congress Party and will definitely and mercilessly shake that which used to be power base of Hon Atupele Muluzi hence the tense in the Atupele Muluzi camp,” said Mzaza Nkhata. 12928125_987777427978546_6305653875322177580_n

Hon Lucius Banda was and is part of the history of the political change like the UDF and he does not want to see the demise of the party in his lifetime hence is rightly positioned to lead this party to its lost glory.

Ndanga please don’t try our patience, for quite some time now we have been watching you on media criticising Honourable Lucius Banda. In fact we as UDF supporters we don’t know that so called alliance with DPP, only Soja is the leader and our future for 2019 elections not you!!! We are not orphans anymore Lucius Banda is there to joins our hands together so continue working with DPP not UDF. Thanks

How far did you go with education yourself? We have a lot of challenges in this village, why are you not rescuing Malawi with your education? If education is the answer to our tiny nation Malawi, why is it that professors are failing to turn around our stinky economy? You have ideas come on and rescue us now!!!! Not tomorrow, insane.

Ever since though. I don’t benefit this UDF as a party, but , I support it. That Lucius could lead this party, Ha ha ha it could be the end of the party! He don’t have any qualities of leadership ,he is corrupt, womaniser and selfish person ! His talent is there as a musician that’s all. Don’t take this party to sunset ,better look for quality leaders not his qualities! Watchout! It will Chilima with Sudik Mia as runningmate this 2019 and it will a hard to crack game, so we need people with qualities .
