Two of Malawi’s political parties; the United Transformation Party (UTM) and the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) are pointing fingers at each other over corruption allegations.
DPP’s Nicholas Dausi said that Chilima’s secrets will be revealed if he continues to talk ill about the DPP.
“He has skeletons in his wardrobe, but he is busy talking about our secrets,” he said, adding:
“If he continue with what he is doing then we will give him a dose of his own medicine. They must concentrate on selling their party not denting our image.
“He was involved in a number of corrupt dealings which we are ready to tell Malawians if he continues talking about us.”
UTM leader, Saulos Chilima said that he has evidence that DPP is using Macra and MRA funds to finance its campaign.
“They are using Macra and MRA fuel cards to fuel their cars. I have the numbers of the fuel cards they are using. The DPP guys are refueling their cars at Puma filling stations in Blantyre and Lilongwe,” he said.
