The Minister of Information Gospel Kazako has urged Public Relation Officers from Ministries, Departments and Agencies to serve the public diligently so that correct information is relayed to citizens accordingly.

Kazako made the remarks when he was opening PRO’s conference underway at Bingu International Conference Centre in Lilongwe.

He has also urged all PRO’s to avoid being agents of office backbiting which can cost their credibility to be trusted with government information which the public may need.

“Don’t be part of those enhancing backbiting in offices. Let every officer within and outside your working place have confidence with you to be trusted with every needed public information and this will help you to find easy way in gathering and sharing information.” Kazako hinted.

The Ministry of information has organized this PRO’s conference with an aim of bringing together all MDA spokespersons to share, deliberate and find solutions to challenges being encountered in PRO industry.
