We can confirm that there is panic within the DPP camp as some people are uncomfortable to have the VP assume office should the president wish to resign on health grounds or is declared incapacitated as provided for in the Malawi Constitution.

The Presidental hopefuls of 2019 and their team are dead scared. They are now calling Speaker of Parliament to bring forward the next seating so as to amend the constitution and provide for an early election to be held within 3 months as is the case in Zambia. They want Chief Justice to assume office for those three months.
